Continue to the iconic Giza Plateau to explore the majestic Pyramids of Giza and the Great Sphinx. Marvel at the Great Pyramid of Khufu (Cheops), the largest of the three and the only surviving Wonder of the Ancient World (originally 146.6 meters tall). Admire the well-preserved Pyramid of Khafre (Chephren) and the smaller Pyramid of Menkaure.

Nearby stands the enigmatic Great Sphinx, carved from a single limestone outcrop—a mythical creature with a lion’s body (stretching 73 meters long) and a human head, its massive paws extending about 15 meters.

Enjoy a memorable camel ride across the desert sands for panoramic views of the pyramids and plateau.

Day 03: Egyptian Museum-Citadel-Bazar and Nile Cruise

Full Day in Cairo – Egyptian Museum, Citadel, Old Cairo & Nile Dinner Cruise Start your day with a fascinating visit to the renowned Egyptian Museum (in Tahrir Square), home to one of the world’s greatest collections of ancient artifacts, including treasures from Tutankhamun’s tomb, mummies, statues, and jewelry spanning thousands of years.

In the afternoon, explore Islamic Cairo: visit the impressive Salah El-Din Citadel (a medieval fortress with panoramic views of the city), the ornate Al-Rifa’i Mosque (a 19th-century royal mosque and mausoleum), and the historic area of Old Cairo (also known as Coptic Cairo) with its ancient churches and synagogues.

Your guide will then drop you off at the legendary Khan el-Khalili Bazaar, Cairo’s vibrant 14th-century souk. Wander the labyrinth of narrow alleys filled with spices, jewelry, lanterns, textiles, perfumes, and souvenirs—perfect for shopping, haggling, and soaking up the lively atmosphere.

Day 04: Alexandria – Bibliotheca Alexandrina, Catacombs, Citadel & National Museum

Full Day in Alexandria – From Ancient Wonders to Mediterranean Charm Breakfast at your hotel in Alexandria.

Start the day with a visit to the stunning Bibliotheca Alexandrina (Library of Alexandria), a modern architectural masterpiece and cultural center that revives the legacy of the ancient Great Library. Explore its vast reading halls, manuscript museum, planetarium, exhibitions on history/science/art, and beautiful grounds overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.

Next, descend into the fascinating Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, an underground necropolis from the 2nd century AD blending Egyptian, Greek, and Roman styles—a unique testament to Alexandria’s multicultural past with intricate tombs, statues, and burial chambers.

Nearby, marvel at Pompey’s Pillar, a massive 30-meter red granite column (the largest of its kind outside Rome) erected in the 4th century AD, standing amid the atmospheric ruins of the Serapeum (the ancient Temple of Serapis complex).

Enjoy lunch at a local fish restaurant, savoring fresh Mediterranean seafood.

In the afternoon, head to the iconic Citadel of Qaitbay (view from outside), a 15th-century fortress built on the site of the ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria (one of the Seven Wonders). Admire its imposing walls, towers, and breathtaking views over the harbor and sea.

Continue to the Alexandria National Museum, housed in a beautifully renovated 19th-century Italian-style palace, showcasing artifacts from Pharaonic, Greco-Roman, and modern eras—including sunken treasures from Abu Qir Bay, mummies, statues, and pottery.

Wrap up the day with dinner and overnight in Alexandria. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner [B, L, D]

Day 05: Aswan- High Dam, Unfinished Obelisk, Granite Quarries & Felucca Sail

Fly to Aswan – High Dam, Unfinished Obelisk, Granite Quarries & Felucca Sail Early morning transfer to the airport for your flight to Aswan, the sunny southern gateway to Nubia and the Nile’s ancient heart.

Upon arrival at Aswan Airport, you will be met by your guide and transferred to your luxurious Nile cruiser for check-in and welcome.

Your full day of sightseeing begins with a visit to the Aswan High Dam, a modern engineering triumph completed in 1970. Learn how it controls the Nile’s floods, generates power, and created Lake Nasser—while enjoying panoramic views of the dam, reservoir, and desert landscape.

Next, explore the ancient Granite Quarries and the famous Unfinished Obelisk, a colossal 42-meter-long, 1,200-ton granite monolith abandoned in ancient times due to cracks during carving. This site offers a rare glimpse into pharaonic stone-working techniques, with visible tool marks and the obelisk still attached to the bedrock.

Return to the cruiser for lunch on board.

In the afternoon, embark on a relaxing felucca tour—a traditional wind-powered sailboat ride around the picturesque Nile islands. Glide past lush greenery, watch local life along the banks, and enjoy stunning views of the Nilometer (an ancient staircase-like structure used to measure the Nile’s annual flood levels) on Elephantine Island or nearby sites. This serene sail captures the timeless beauty of the Nile.

Day 06: Nile Cruise – Kom Ombo Temple, Edfu Temple & Sail to Esna Early

Nile Cruise – Kom Ombo Temple, Edfu Temple & Sail to Esna Early morning sail from Aswan to Kom Ombo. Breakfast on board your Nile cruiser.

Disembark to visit the stunning Kom Ombo Temple, a rare and beautifully symmetrical Ptolemaic double temple (built ~180 BC–47 AD) uniquely dedicated to two deities: the crocodile-headed god Sobek (god of fertility, the Nile, and creation) and the falcon-headed Haroeris (Horus the Elder, god of the sky and protector of pharaohs). Admire the twin entrances, mirrored halls, sanctuaries, and intricate reliefs depicting medical instruments, crocodiles, and falcon motifs—plus panoramic Nile views from its riverside location.

Return to the cruiser and continue sailing to Edfu. Lunch on board.

In the afternoon, explore the magnificent Edfu Temple (Temple of Horus), one of the best-preserved and largest temples in Egypt. This Ptolemaic masterpiece (built 237–57 BC) honors the falcon-god Horus, with towering pylons (over 36 meters high), granite falcon statues guarding the entrance, vast hypostyle halls, and detailed carvings narrating the myth of Horus’s victory over Seth. It’s a highlight for its completeness and dramatic scale.

Continue sailing north through the scenic Nile landscape toward Esna (often including passage through the Esna Lock). Dinner and overnight on board your Nile cruiser (moored near Esna or en route). Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner [B, L, D]

Day 07: Luxor – Cruise-Karnak, Avenue of the Rams & Luxor Temple

Sail to Luxor – Karnak Temple & Luxor Temple Early morning sail from Esna to Luxor, the world’s greatest open-air museum and ancient capital of Thebes.

Breakfast on board your Nile cruiser, followed by some relaxing free time at leisure to enjoy the ship’s amenities, sun deck views of the passing Nile landscape, or simply unwind after the journey.

Lunch on board.

In the afternoon, disembark for an unforgettable exploration of Luxor’s legendary east bank temples:

  • Karnak Temple Complex — the largest religious complex ever built, a vast open-air wonder that took over 2,000 years to construct. Walk through the awe-inspiring Great Hypostyle Hall (with 134 massive columns up to 23 meters tall), the sacred lake, obelisks, and richly carved walls telling stories of pharaohs, gods, and battles. Feel the grandeur of ancient Egypt at its peak.
  • Luxor Temple — a beautifully preserved gem connected to Karnak by the famous Avenue of Sphinxes. Admire its elegant colonnades, towering statues of Ramses II, the granite obelisk (its twin now stands in Paris), and the subtle lighting that makes evening visits magical. This temple was dedicated mainly to the Theban triad (Amun, Mut, and Khonsu) and was a key site for the Opet Festival.

Your tour includes the must-see highlights:

  • Colossi of Memnon — Two enormous 18-meter-tall quartzite statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III (c. 1350 BC), standing sentinel over the floodplain. These weathered giants once flanked his massive mortuary temple (now mostly gone) and are an iconic first glimpse of the West Bank.
  • Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari — A breathtaking terraced mortuary temple built into the cliffs by Egypt’s most successful female pharaoh (c. 1479–1458 BC).
